Whether it be your car or your motorcycle that you want to protect there are plenty of different security products out there now. Finding the most effective ones however is a different matter as some work extremely well were as other just act as a deterrent. A prime example of this would be a steering wheel lock there are plenty on the market but there are very few that are very effective against criminals today, that is why you need to research into which would be the best one and which would perform the best. Obviously the kind of product you need varies completely from vehicle to vehicle, here are some examples of products you can use for the safety of various vehicles and how they work;
- Anchor locks etc – There are locks known as anchor locks because they have a catch that fastens into the ground solidly and then they have a link going through the wheel that fastens into the ground catch. As well as these kinds of locks there are other variations such as these locks that have parts fastened to the ground and then have a metal arch that arches over the top of your bike sitting closely to it and then is fastened at either side to the ground fastening.
- Car wheel locks – The standard steering wheel locks have had certain faults over the years but recently have been improved so there are now models that provide extra security. For example there are now steering wheel locks that have an extension arm running from the steering wheel to the brake pedal thus making the vehicle completely immobile. There are now also steering wheel locks that protect the driver’s airbag as they are becoming greater targets all the time for car thieves as they are very valuable. As well as these security factors they also act as a visual deterrent to those that want a quick get away.
- Motorcycle alarms – 
There are many different kinds of alarm for motorcycles but the most effective are the higher end type of alarms that offer added security features. Some of these security features include shock sensors; these detect various levels of pressure on your motorcycle, motion sensor; this detects if the motorcycle is moved off its side stand, page or text system; this means once the alarm has been activated you would receive a page or text.
There are many different security products for your motor vehicles it is possible to protect nearly any kind of vehicle against theft, even if the product doesn’t stop the person taking the vehicle it at least acts as a deterrent or helps the police to track your vehicle.
